How did Kissin' Cousins get its name?

Meg Lansaw was born and raised in West Virginia, which is stereotyped as inbred country. Growing up, Lansaw was very close with her cousin Andy. Many people would mistake them for a couple and once a child asked if they had ever kissed. It has been an ongoing joke that Andy is Meg's boyfriend. That's basically how the title of Kissin' Cousins came about. And no....they have never kissed because that's gross.
